The New Yorker Magazine cover is another case of something Jon Stewart refers to as "You're not Fucking Helping." It's some artist who thinks he's going to be clever and in reality is kinda lame.
Yeah, I get it, it's suppose to be satire. But I think the point of satire is that it's also suppose to be funny. And well, it wasn't. Instead it's a distraction that will lead off the nightly news on the networks and the top of the hour on cable news. But we won't hear anything about IndyMac, Fannie Mae or Freddie whatever. No one will hear about Obama's NYTimes op-ed this morning, or the democratic rebuttal to bush lifting the drilling ban.
Instead we'll listen to some executive editor and some cartoonist hack go on about how this is satire. Like we need a lesson from a couple of self obsessed elitists. Thanks a whole Fucking lot New Yorker. Oh btw, do you think anyone will even discuss the substance of the two Obama articles in the New Yorker? Probably not, that would involve reading.
